Infiniti unveils its first hybrid - the eco-friendly M35 for 2012
Friday, March 12, 2010
Porter Infiniti, a leading Infiniti dealer in Newark, near Wilmington, Hockessin and New Castle, DE, is eager to welcome the advanced Hybrid electric vehicle technology in the 2012 Infiniti M35 Hybrid. The hybrid version of this brand new M sedan is an outcome of the company's emphasis on environmentally-friendly vehicles.
Infiniti's pioneer hybrid, the 2012 M35, has a 3.5-liter V-6 engine paired with a single electric motor that features a twin clutch arrangement. The twin clutch design facilitates the electric motor to act as a power back-up to the engine in ''power assist'' mode as well as a generator to charge the battery during deceleration or braking. The M Hybrid has the capability to run exclusively on power generated by the electric motor.
The 2012 M35 Hybrid is a major achievement for Infiniti as it is the company's first true hybrid vehicle. Infiniti asserts that it will be the cleanest and most economical car in Infiniti's history. The design of the M35 Hybrid will include ''hybrid'' badges in strategic places. When it enters the market, the 2011 M sedan will undoubtedly be one of the more attractive luxury sedans on the market. The M35 Hybrid will debut a year later as a 2012 model. This hybrid is estimated to get excellent EPA fuel economy of 22 miles per gallon in the city and 25 mpg on the highway.
